If you are a record or beneficial holder of AmREIT, Inc. (“AmREIT”) common stock for the period from and including July 10, 2014 through and including February 20, 2015, whereby Edens Investment Trust acquired all of the outstanding shares of AmREIT stock for $26.55 per share,

YOUR RIGHTS MAY BE AFFECTED BY PROCEEDINGS IN THIS LITIGATION.
On December 16, 2015, the Court entered an order that, among other things, preliminarily certified a non-opt out Settlement Class consisting of all record or beneficial holders of AmREIT common stock for the period from and including July 10, 2014 through and including February 20, 2015, the date of the consummation of the Edens Transaction, including any and all of their respective successors in interest, predecessors, representatives, trustees, executors, heirs, assigns or transferees, immediate and remove, and any person or entity acting for or on behalf of, or claiming under any of them and each of them, scheduled the Settlement Hearing to consider whether to approve the settlement, and authorized the mailing and distribution of the Notice to potential Settlement Class Members.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO PERSONS OR ENTITIES HOLDING RECORD OWNERSHIP ON BEHALF OF OTHERS
If you hold or held any AmREIT common stock at any time from and including July 10, 2014, through and including February 20, 2015, as nominee for a beneficial owner, then, within ten (10) calendar days after you receive this Notice, you must either: (a) send a copy of this Notice by first class mail to all such Persons; or (b) provide a list of the names and addresses of such Persons to the Notice Administrator at:
